NARCISSUS was inspired by delving into the complex dynamics of two cultural trends from the 1980s that still resonate in contemporary society: the adoption of angular, avant-garde shapes in fashion and the swift transition from analog to digital technology. It also draws inspiration from the strong, bold proportions of 80s-era women's fashion and accessories, challenging conventional notions of power and gender roles. Featuring a combination titanium/acetate frame, exposed monofilament detailing on the inner nose bridge, and lenses mounted within the titanium structure enclosed in acetate, this design deftly merges traditional and modern elements. Custom titanium nose pads, along with 100% UVA and UVB protection and anti-reflective coating on the lenses, ensure both style and functionality. Crafted with precision in Japan.
